It layers a powerful, effictive GUI on top of the venerable rsync protocol. It allows AppleScript control, so my “scripting fu” can be used to get myself into trouble if I want.
The GUI is a really good implementation — fast and easy where it needs to be, with plenty of customization under the convers if I need it. The product is fast, too — but I expected that because of the highly-efficient rsync protocol. All in all, there isn’t a single disappointment in this product.

I do most of my programming on my iMac but often use my MacBook Pro and I have been looking for a way to keep a few folders in sync so that I don’t have to spend a lot of time moving folders back and forth between the two computers. I looked all over the Internet for a product like this one. There were a few but they got bad reviews and I was not sure that the developers were still actively updating the apps. When I came upon this app I read all of the reviews and decided to give it a try. It took me 2 minutes to set up the shared folder on my iMac and MacBook Pro and it took less than a few minutes for the first sync.
I tested deleting a file and changing files on my iMac and within seconds the changes were propagated to my MacBook Pro. This will save me so much time and make my life so much easier. I noticed that they use rsync to do all the work and it made me feel even comfortable using the app. I believe that the developers of this app could create a version that could be used my the masses.
For their target audience the interface is easy to use and understand. I have no connection with the developers of this app but I want to thank them for making my life easer.
If you have multiple computers that you work on and want an easy way to keep your files/projects synced between them this is the app. I used DropSync 2 for years and it worked well, but this one seems a lot more intuitive to use. I use to sync photos and catalog for LightRoom from my home iMac to an external drive I can use on my Mac Book Air. It works perfectly.This version has the ability to delete files on the destination if they are not on the source.
I could never find this option on version 2 of the software. This is a great feature, but you need to be careful that you don’t delete something because you did not correctly configure the sync. I always do a “Preview” and check the log file to be sure I am getting what I think I should.Since it only copies files that have been added or changed, the speed of the sync is very fast. This is well worth the cost.
