Doesn't take much to ruin a processor by heating. Suggest you remove power cord, wear a wrist grounding strap or ground your hand on the bare metal of the case and take trhe heatsink/CPU fan off from the processor.
Clean the processor top very well with cotton balls and isopropyl alcohol. Clean the bottom of the heat sink the same way. Apply a good quality thermal compound in a thin, even layer. I use a business card to spread it out thinly and evenly. Replace the heatsink/fan onto the processor, making certain the processor is inserted correctly in the motherboard. Plug the fan wire into the motherboard into the small plgu marked CPU Fan.
Hook the cord back up. Turn on the power supply button on the back and start the computer. If you get the same message the processor was probably irreparably damaged the first time you got that message.

Youll need a floopy drive on both your computer and the one your using, go to the manufactures support website and download the bios file for your motherboard to the floopy. Then take the floopy and put it in your computer and start it up. It should download the bios to your system. If you dont have floopy drives, you can use a usb drive if your systems are set up for usb, but your boot order also have to be setup to recognize the usb.
